Welcome To My Life

Greetings, I’m Ditikrushan Giri. I am a cloud backend engineer hailing from Odisha, India, and graduated from NIT Trichy, where I delved into computer science. My journey in tech has been driven by a passion for developing robust backend solutions and leveraging cloud technologies to solve complex problems.

From the outset, I was drawn to theoretical computer science, envisioning a path towards a PhD and a future as a professor. However, my journey took an unexpected turn when I discovered a passion for coding during internships at leading firms, learning the art of software development from the ground up.

Despite my burgeoning interest in engineering, I decided to explore research, embarking on a research internship at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, focusing on image segmentation. It was a pivotal experience that revealed my heart lies more in engineering than pure research.

From the very beginning, my path diverged from the traditional. Rather than joining a large firm, I was drawn to the vibrant world of startups. My aim was clear: to immerse myself in the process of building products from inception to scale. This conviction led me to turn down an offer at J.P. Morgan and instead join a nascent startup based in Bangalore.

Joining as one of the founding members of a small engineering team, I relished the opportunity to build and shape the product from its infancy. With only a handful of us at the outset, each day brought new challenges and responsibilities, molding me into a versatile engineer fresh out of college. As the company grew, so did my skills and confidence.

After a year of invaluable learning and growth, I sought out a new challenge and joined another early-stage startup, this time in Silicon Valley, USA. Here, the focus shifted to cloud security and data Security, tackling complex problems alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. Building innovative solutions and collaborating with top engineers fueled my passion for technology.

Driven by a thirst for new horizons, I later ventured to Munich, Germany, to join yet another intriguing startup. Specializing in identity security and data protection, we tackled cutting-edge challenges that pushed the boundaries of innovation. Each experience has enriched my journey, deepening my expertise and broadening my perspective in the dynamic landscape of technology startups.

Today, I am passionate about cloud security, data security, identity security, and solving scalability challenges. If you share an interest in these areas, feel free to reach out—I would love to connect and exchange ideas.

Apart from my professional journey, in my free time, I indulge in reading books, particularly on psychology and philosophy. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my girlfriend and our dogs, and occasionally, I find joy in dirt riding adventures.
